Our Farm
In 1980, Jeff emigrated from California to New Zealand and purchased a bare 8-acre block in Whangārei. With only a single tree on the property at the time, he single-handedly planted everything you see today—including shelter belts and an organic orchard.
The kauri villa from Limestone Island
His dedication and vision have shaped the land into a thriving garden, supplying New Zealand gardeners with top-quality daylilies and selling dahlia flowers and organic avocados, citrus and bananas at the local Growers Market. As part of his commitment to preserving history, Jeff also transported a 90-year-old kauri villa from Limestone Island—originally one of the manager’s houses with a rich history of different uses. Over many years, he lovingly restored it into the grand villa that stands today.

Community
Community
Beyond the gardens, Jeff has a deep passion for community projects. He is one of the founders of the Whangārei Men’s Shed and has always been an advocate for environmental sustainability.
This year we’re launching a small social enterprise: for every PYO bucket purchased, we’ll gift a free bouquet to someone in our community who could use a little extra joy — whether that’s a hospice patient, a rest home resident, an essential worker, or one of our wonderful volunteers.
Together, Jeff and Trisha continue to cultivate a garden filled with history, beauty, and a commitment to sustainability.
